Nationally recognized orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rocco Monto will launch Oceanus Health, Nantucket’s first dedicated orthopedic and regenerative medicine clinic, this fall.

The use of 1 Cherry St. as his orthopedic clinic, Oceanus Health, which will focus on treating orthopedic conditions and introduce regenerative medicine techniques on-island such as stem cell therapy, was approved by the Planning Board Monday with no objections.

Local orthopedic surgeon Rocco Monto finally has an office space for his new private practice. After the Planning Board shot down his first proposed location in Naushop following significant neighborhood pushback, Monto returned to the board on Monday with a plan to open Oceanus Health, his orthopedics and regenerative health venture, at 1 Cherry Street.

Oceanus Health has announced that the official opening of its new facility at 1 Cherry Street will be before the end of the year. Virtual appointments will be available beginning November 21, 2025.
